Anti Social behaviour on Westminster Crescent, Intake

At the PACT meeting held at 6.30pm it was discussed with residents and organisation present that this area will now be a PACT priority until Wednesday 23rd November 2011 where this will be reviewed at the next meeting.

PCSO Moseley and officer from South yorkshire fire and rescue conducted cycle patrols throughout Intake focusing on potentail fire risks to properties and advise given to those highlighted.

PCSO’s Eschoe and Taylor patrolled the area by foot andaround the flat area. No youths present at this time.

31.10.11

Police officers and PCSO’s patrolled the area throughout the shift and had no reports of ASB.

04.11.11

PCSO Eschoe and Moseley patrolled the area throughout the shift and no ASB issues were present into the early hours.

05.11.11

PCSO Eschoe attended the local primary school to conduct a firework presentation. PCSO Eschoe and Moseley patrolled the by cycle, stopped a group of males on a nearby street  admitted to having a controlled substance on his them. Therefore Police officers issued a Caution to one of the males.

PCSO Eschoe conducted cycle patrols down Shaftesbury Avenue, monitoring any speeding vehicles and visiting local primary School.

PCSO Eschoe and Moseley patrolled the area on police cycles. This was done throughout the evening shift and no anti social behaviour or nuisance vehicles were present.

PCSO Moseley and Eschoe attended a police incident created by a resident in Shaftesbury House, stating that a group of youths were causing ASB by ringing the intercom and running up and down the stairs. The officers quickly identified the offenders, stopping a group of the outside the flat area. All details were taken and no further action will be taken on this occasion however if problem persist the SNT will deal with this group robustly.

Officers from the local Safer Neighbourhood Team attended the PACT meeting along with residents and agreed to keep this SARA pack open due to no emerging issues and that Shaftesbury Avenue is a main arterial route through Intake.

01.12.11

Officers from the local Safer Neighbourhood team, British Transport Police and South Yorkshire Travel Bus company conducted patrols in the area from 6pm to 9pm. No youths were seen to be causing any anti social behaviour or throwing stones at the passing bus.

A Truancy sweep was conducted by DMBC Neighbourhood response team and  PC Humphreys in the area of Intake. 

Spoken to 6 pupils and parents regarding ongoing issues with attendance from Danum school no further action taken.

 

04.12.11

 

The Neighborhood response team DMBC patrolled Westminster Crescent, Intake.  This was due to an incidents involving a vehicle,  blocking a drive. Doors knocked in the area but nobody knew who the car belonged to.

05.12.11

Local PCSO’s attended a property in Lonsdale House Intake along with a care worker to visit a concerned resident who is having quality of life issues that the SNT can assist and deal with.

A complaint was received from a resident at Lonsdale House, Shaftsbury Ave.  Loud banging coming from another flat. Patrol to location made, no noise witnessed at this time, talked to the complainant and details left. 

 

22.12.11 - Local Beat officers, PCSO Moseley, PCSO Taylor and PCSO Eschoe patrolled the main arterial routes throughout Intake and on this occasion with the assistance of PC Fisher,  seized a motor vehicle on Cumberland Avenue Intake at 11am for driving in a careless inconsiderate manner and also driving without insurance.

04.01.12 - Local beat officers PCSO Moseley and PCSO Eschoe patrolled the area on cycles visiting the flats making enquiries into an offence of Criminal Damage.

05.01.12 - Following reports that youth nuisance is occurring at the flat area, patrols have been conducted by local beat officers, PCSO's Eschoe and Moseley and a group of youths were stopped, obtaining details and moved away from the area. Westminster Crescent, Lothian Road, Shaftesbury Avenue and High rise flats were patrolled regularly throughout the shift.

09.01.12 - Police incident created from a resident that youth nuisance is occurring again at the flat area. The group left prior to police arrival however these were named on the incident and more referrals submitted in regards to the behaviour of local youths.

10.01.12 - PCSO Moseley and Eschoe conducted cycle patrols in the Westminster Crescent area after reports of a stolen pedal cycle from an address in the local area. Although crime is continuing to fall; the help of local residents to keep properties locked and secure is needed which will assist in detering any opportunist offenders.

11.01.12 - Your local Beat Officers have patrolled and conducted a leaflet drop in the local area informing residents of a burglary and if any suspicious activity is witnessed to contact South Yorkshire Police on the new 101 number.

17.01.12 - PCSO’s Moseley and Eschoe have carried out high profile cycle patrols in the area and have conducted reassurance visits after the report of damage in the loacl area.

19.01.12 - Local beat officers, PCSO’s Moseley and Eschoe have today visited the local primary school to talk to them and local DMBC officers about the garden project set up locally on Heatherwood Close in the area.
